Basketball Hoop Installation
Precise Assemblies is the expert specialist to handle your hoop installation. You will not find a better company to install your basketball system. We are a preferred installer for several brands.
There are 4 combination types of basketball systems
Regulation sized backboards (high school, college & NBA) are 72"W × 42"H × ½"T (13 mm thick) tempered glass. Other common sizes and materials can include the 60" and 54" widths, and acrylic (plastic) backboards. Other thicknesses are the thinner ¹⁵⁄₁₆" thick (8mm), or ⅜" thick (10 mm) glass or acrylic.
If you haven't already purchased your hoop, contact us and we can recommend a size and/or brand for your application. The smaller sizes are perfect for smaller playing areas like driveways. There are many brands that even offer lifetime warranties that include hard dunking and hanging!
What to expect on installation day
In-ground basketball systems are a 2-part process. On the 1st visit, after the utility lines have been checked, we will dig the hole and embed the anchor system in concrete. You'll be left with a concrete pier and anchor bolts sticking up a couple of inches.
The concrete then has to cure for 5–7 days.
We'll return to erect the system pole, extension arms, height adjustment (if applicable), counterweight springs, backboard, rim, and padding. The system will be leveled left-to-right and front-to-back and then calibrated to your driveway at exactly 10 feet.
We own, we don't rent
While most company's and handymen are renting the specialized tools needed, we own them! Our customers always love watching us use our custom backboard crane, as it eliminates the risk of back injuries and shattered backboards. Our custom concrete mixer eliminates the risk of inconsistent wheelbarrow mixing. Our vibrator eliminates the risk of air pockets and honeycombing. Our powered auger and jackhammer eliminate the risk of delaying trips to the rental store because of underground obstructions.
